Legal Question in Consumer Law in Alabama
Automobile Engine Warrnaty
I purchased an automobile engine in 8/98, with a 12 month warranty. In 12/98, I registered a complaint. I was told they would make an appointment for me to have the engine checked and they would get back with me. They never did. I continued to call throughout 1999 and 2000. Each time I was told it would be taken care of, they would make an appointment at their service center for me and would call me back. In 1/01, when I called again, I was told that it was now too late for them to do anything about it. Do I have any recourse? What should I do? Who should I contact?

Re: Automobile Engine Warrnaty
if your complaints were in writing you might have some small chance of recourse on your warranty. however, if your complaints were not in writing your chances are alot poorer. also a review of your warranty would be necessary before any definitive answer could be made to your problem. in general, if you do not act on a right, that right that you have may be lost.
