a bad purchase

i purchased a used car with a warranty it has majorly torn up several times the dealership willnot help, recently the car caught on fire. i was told it had been inspected thoroughly, it tore up the day after i bought it, the car has recalls on it that are not shown satisfied even before i purchased it, what can i do?

It depends on what the warranty says and what your contract says. If you purchased the car "as is", you will have no recourse against the dealer unless they made a written misrepresentation to you. Whoever issued the warranty may or may not be liable for repairs, and you may have claims under the Federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act which provides that the prevailing party is entitled to attorney's fees.
