Legal Question in Consumer Law in Alabama
I have had construction work done at my residence. I have paid for all work but we are having issues with some of the work and some not completed. If the contractor has left his tools for several weeks what right do I have to keep the tools until work is completed? What can he do legally toward me and is it legal for me to hold his tools until work is complete? He has waited a month to even ask for his tools.

You don't have the right to keep the tools, unless they are abandoned at the property for an extended period of time. However, it sounds like there is some work to be done. Since you have paid for the work, you should have it completed properly. Please contact me if you would like me to assist you in this matter.
