Legal Question in Consumer Law in Alabama
Copyright
I have written several songs for an agency. They plan to use my song for a group. They said they would get with me to discuss my copyright on the lyrics I wrote. What exactly do I need to do to ensure that I'm not ripped off? How do I copyright my work? Thank you.

Re: Copyright
Technically, anything you write is copyrighted. It is usually wise to actually file it with the federal government, however, since there are certain rights to recovery to be had if you do so.
I can recommend an excellent copyright attorney in Birmingham, if you would like me to. Email me back at: [email protected]
Thanks, and good luck!
