Credit Check
Is it lawful for a car salesman to check your credit for a loan you didn't authorize?

A car salesman may NOT pull your credit report unless you authorize it. Now once you authorize it they normally can shop around to get the loan so the question is did you authorize in any way for the car salesman or dealership to pull your credit report? If not then the Fair Credit Reporting Act probably was violated.
