I paid $9000 towards earnest deposit to buy a gas station to a broker. I told the broker that i will but the station after checking the sale and business premises. Now that the sale was not right and i did not like the place i dont want to buy the satation. The broker is not refunding the deposit and telling me do whatever you want to do i am not giving back the deposit. Can i file a lawsuit for the deposit

Whether or not you are entitled to a refund of your deposit would depend on the terms of your agreement with the broker. When you gave him the deposit you would have signed some kind of a contract or a written offer to purchase the premises. I would have to review the terms of that document before being able to give you advice on the situation. Also, I would need to know more details about what the broker said to you at the time that you gave him the money.
