Legal Question in Consumer Law in Alabama
Mobile Home
I purchased a mobile home from a dealer. I was approved for financing and immediately after approval, they moved my old home out and the new one in. In the meantime, the finance company and dealer was working on my final papers for signature. I had already signed the papers and assumed everything was fine until I received a phone call from the dealer saying the deal did not go through on the last day. I have lived in this new home for almost 3 mos now. They have already took possession of my old home and may have even sold it. They are working on more financing options, but now what do I do? Can the finance company who approved me boot me at the last minute? Their reason for changing their decision was because of employment change on the co-applicant. Can they do this??Help I'm scared of being homeless now.
