Legal Question in Consumer Law in Alabama
Refund Demand
On 7-5-04 I sold a car that needed work on it. I told them what the machnic told me was wrong. On the bill of sale I stated the problem and was selling it as is. They agreed and purchase the car and we transfered the title. On 7-9-04 I get a call that they want thier money back. I was very clear with what I new about the car and they accepted it. I am not a car dealer. Legally do I have to return the money to them? Thanks A.K.

Re: Refund Demand
Legally, there is no requirement that you refund their money or cancel the transaction. I hope you kept a copy of the bill of sale.
