Legal Question in Consumer Law in Alabama
I signed a contract for a house rental that has no policy for cancellations. I called to cancel the reservations and they said their policy was no cancellations. My contract says nothing about that and I told the agent that when I booked the reservation they said they did not have a cancellation policy. I assumed that to mean that I could cancel. I have requested to cancel and want my money back. Do I have legal ground to ask for that?

Impossible to say, without seeing the lease agreeement. However, the lease agreement is the entire agreement, and oral statements concerning the agreement before it was made are not evidence of the agreement. Google "Parol Evidence Rule" for more details.
