Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Alabama

I have a bank loan in default from about 14 years ago now the bank is suing me for the remainder of the loan is this legal after that long a time? I own a house with my husband can they put a lien on the house?

there is a statute of limitations that bars the filing of a lawsuit after so many years. You NEED TO PHYSICALLY GO TO AN ATTORNEY'S OFFICE and discuss this matter BEFORE the time period in which to answer the lawsuit expires. If the bank gets a judgment it CAN put a lien on the home.
