Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Alabama

I have phone service with MCI. They will call sometimes between 5 and 8 times a day. The calls start around 8:30 a.m. and stop around 8:30 p.m., 7 days a week. Yes, they even call on Sundays. Is this legal?

Is it MCI calling you or a collection agency? That can make a difference.

As far as the number of calls and when the calls took place, even if it is just MCI (the original creditor so fair debt law does not apply) this may still be an invasion of privacy.

Are they just calling or actually leaving messages? What are they saying when you or someone else talks to them?
