Well, the bad part is that you signed a note when you purchased the vehicle. Whether or not the vehicle is still in your possession is not an issue. The lender is enforcing its rights against you under the terms of the promissory note, whereby you and/or your husband promised to make X number of payments for X number of months. You do have rights, though, and you need to act immediately to protect your assets from further collection efforts by the creditor/lender.
