Myself and another lady were employed by two gentlemen to assist them in a start-up company. I was the programmer and the other young lady was hired as Vice President/Director of Human Resources. In that role she arranged with a temporary staffing agency through the guidance of the CEO and President to hire call center personnel. This bill came to over $13,000 and because she signed the agreement with the staffing agency they have come after her and have taken out of her personal checking account everything she had which was approx $3000.00. She and I were only owners of 2% of the company. She signed her name followed by "for XXXXXXXXX". How can they hold her responsible for this debt even to the point of withdrawing from her personal account everything she owns?
