Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Alabama

Hello. Do I have to pay for something I didn't order and didn't receive? I received a notice of collection from a collection agency stating that I ordered a product and never paid for it. I never got a bill or anything and never ordered from the company to begin with. But they have my name and address and say they have a tracking number too.

If you did not receive the item then you have no problem. They may have a tracking number but can they show where you ordered the item. Was it ordered by anyone else? And, do you have knowledge of someone receiving the item. There are many questions here which have to be answered without giving a yes or no answer.
