Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Alabama

Public Record-Credit Report

Debtor has public record on credit report. I wrote to the judge and asked to have the judgement set aside as void for lack of service. Their records indicate I was served by the sheriff which is incorrect. The address was incorrect. The judge responded to my letter that the court (which it was filed) lacks jurisdiction 14 days elapsed. Judge advised to seek legal counsel.

Re: Public Record-Credit Report

The basic gist is if you were never served then the judgment should be set aside. Was anyone at your address given the papers?
