repossession of motor vehicle

my xhusband gave me a car in our divorce but I had to make payments...he made me sign contract before he would let me take the car...I gave the car back because he used it against me...he said that he is going to file with 3 credit bureaus against my credit...can he do that???...

He personally cannot file anything like that on your credit report. Now, he can file a suit based on the breach of contract, get a judgment (default judgment if you don�t answer the complaint), record the judgment and then the amount of the judgment will be reported to the credit bureaus at some point. That can report for up to 10 years.
