Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Alabama
Can I request the lawyers or the creditors to sent me proof of my last payment? Because on my credit report the last activity was on 12/00. The old credit card company has been sold 3 times. They said I made a payment in 12/03, but I did not. What do this SOL in albama for credit cards. This account is 9 years old.

Debt buyers LIE. Debt buyers also put FALSE info on your credit report.
Don't ask the lawyer for the date of the last payment because ONLY YOU HAVE FIRST HAND PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE of the last payment made. NO ONE can contradict your testimony because ONLY you (and the ORIGINAL credit card company) would know.
Take your credit report with you. MAKE SURE you allege in your ANSWER that the debt is barred by the STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS.
You should also talk to a lawyer. I would't suggest you go alone.
