Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Alabama

Is my spouse responsible for debts I incurred before we married"
I got married three years ago and was in deep debt and unable to pay my bills.Now my wife has found out about these outstanding debts ( one of which is a student loan)...The Question is : Can any creditors or agencies hold my wife responsible for the debts I accumulated before our marriage????

No, but you need to pay or file bankruptcy and bankruptcy may not help you with student loans.
