Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Alabama

Can the Statute of Limitations be "reset" (started over) by the Credit Card Company or a Collection Agency without my involvement of knowledge, i.e Making a payment or acknowledging the debt in writing?

If YOU made a payment the answer is YES. If you did not make the payment, i.e. the credit card company made one "for you" then no. If YOU PERSONALLY acknowledged the debt (in writing or orally that was recorded) then YES. If not, then NO.
