Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Alabama

My wife had a loan at a credit union before we got married.

she quit paying on it because she could no longer work.

am i liable for this debt?

the attorney for the credit union also happens to be the companies lawyer for which i work so is this in some way a conflict of interest in any way?

the summons to appear in court for asset investigation was given to my 14 year old son and is the summons given to him instead of myself in anyway not valid because of his age or by not being given to me personaly?

the bottom of the court order say it is an attempt to collect a debt.

This would be your wife's debt. It is not proper service to give it to your minor son. It should not have been given to you or your son.
