Re: arrest records
an arrest is usually (if photographed and fingerprinted) reported to the ala crime information center and thereafter, i believe, reported to the national crime information center. the dismissal and sometimes the conviction, if any, is not reported, however any check of ncic or acic will confirm the arrest. only law enforcement officials can access acic and ncic, but anybody can go to the courthouse and look up your record with the assistance of the court clerk. it is a public record at the courthouse.
