cashing a check that was forged name
i recevid a check and i cashed it but the owner of the check was not the one who wrote it out

Did the owner of the check consent to another writing the check? That is the major question, if so, then I would suspect you have no problem. But if the owner did not consent, and you knew at the time you cashed the check the owner was not the one signing the check, you have some legal problems. The one signing the check is also culpable but to a degree more so than you.
