Legal Question in Criminal Law in Alabama

Class 3 tresspassing

I (age 18) was working at a grocery store, when my exgirlfriend (age 18) came to me, started talking to me. I indicated that I had to finish my work and asked for her phone number. She entered the employees only area, borrowed a pen and wrote her address on a paper towel (that I still posses) as she does not have a phone.

I visited her house. When I knocked on the front door, her mother yelled ''I'm calling the cops!'' and her father asked me to leave, at which point I did, no argument.

Her mother signed warrant for class 3 tresspassing against me.

I've posted bond (through a bondsman) and I was told to show up in court on May the 15th.

Any suggestions?

Re: Class 3 tresspassing

You should get an attorney, who can apply for youthful offender for you and enter a plea of not guilty and get the case set for trial, as well as possibly dismissed (depending on the court). You probably will not have to appear for your arraignment if you have an attorney (again, depending on the court). Looks like you have a good defense based upon the invitation. Good luck. 334-678-7780
