Legal Question in Criminal Law in Alabama

Is This Considered Disorederly Conduct?

I went to my ex-boyfriends house 2 weeks ago knocked on the door and asked to take the baby and to call my mother to come and get her. (I'm a self-mutilator and had cut myself and had drank 3 beers and didn't want to go home and was driving around and didn't want my baby in the car with me in case of an accident). The ex-boyfriend called the police and they arrested me for disorderly conduct. I don't see this as being disorderly--I wasn't causing any problems. Should I plead not guilty when I go to court? I've never been in trouble with the law before.

Re: Is This Considered Disorederly Conduct?

disorderly conduct in ala requires more that talking to someone at the front door. "boistrous" conduct is one type of activity that may amount to disorderly conduct. there are other possible activities that might qualify for DC, but talking at the front door is not one of them. please call me at 879-9595 if you wish to discuss this matter further
