Legal Question in Criminal Law in Alabama
Can a criminal record be expunged in the State of Alabama
I was CHARGED with two class a felonies four years ago, but the felonies were dropped to two class c misdemeanors. This is the only charge I have ever had in my life, and as for the last four years, I have not gotten even a parking ticket. The case that was brought against me was very shakey and as a result the felonies were dropped. I although was not off the hook. I plead to the misdemeanors and as a result they have haunted me every time I fill out an application for employment. Can these charges be expunged from my record in the State of Alabama? Thank you very much.

Re: Can a criminal record be expunged in the State of Alabama
there is not provision in alabama for expungment of records. however, depending on where the offense took place, a judge may take favorable action on your behalf. also there is a possibility of a pardon from the governor that may help you. please call me if you wish to discuss further. 205-879-9595
