How can a hearing be moved from a county to avoid an unfair trial? What are the steps?

there are specific statutes regarding change of venue that must be consulted by your attorney. however, generally, a change of venue may be granted due to an abnormal amount of publicity about your case in the press which would result in a "tainting" of the jury pool from which your jury would be chosen, therefore resulting in an unfair trial for you. you need to consult an attorney regarding the complexities regarding this matter asap
