Felony Charges
Can someone be charged with felony assualt if they were on their own property trying to defend themselves. The person charging the other one tried to run over the other three times. Can this person be charged with attempted murder?

It is very common for people to get arrested for doing things they had a legal right to do, so it is certainly possible for someone to get charged with attempted murder on their own property. But there is a big difference between being charged with a crime and being convicted of a crime. Just because the police arrest a person for a crime doesn't necessarily mean they can get a conviction on that person.
