Inflammatory/Slanderous remarks sent through email.
Is it illegal to transmit false, inflammatory, etc. comments or statements about another individual via email? If so, what would be the individual's course of action within the legal system? Thanks.

Yes. That would be considered defamation, which is actionable in court. The question is: What are your damages? Have you lost money or income as a result? Is your reputation harmed as a result, etc.? Please send me more details so I can evaluate your case and see if we should go forward.
Thanks!
