After contacting the police to report the rape of a 15 year old by a 45 year old, do I need to contact an attorney or let the state handle everything?

Re: Legal Advise - Statutory Rape
you should not need to contact any attorney. the police and district attorney should handle the matter. however your knowledge of the event would be of some interest to the authroities and how you came by that knowledge may be of interest to the authorities. if you have no involvement at all then no attorney should be needed, however, it is always a good idea in matters this important to consult with a good attorney about all of your actions.
