Re: manslaughter
Manslaughter is a Class B felony, carrying a range of punishment from a minimum of two years to a maximum of twenty years for a first-time offender. There is also a maximum fine of $30,000. If the person has prior felony convictions, then the range of punishment will be even higher.
If you are facing a manslaughter charge, you need to hire a criminal defense lawyer immediately. This is a very serious charge and the consequences can be severe. Please go meet with an attorney as soon as possible.
