police report filed for stolen license plate
guy I know filed a police report stating that his license plate had been stolen. in reality, his friend had taken it to put on her car to drive back home down south. little did he know that she would be pulled over for speeding and this plate would come up stolen. Can he be in any trouble for filing this report when he knew she had it? Will it be persued?

Re: police report filed for stolen license plate
Yes, he is probably going to be prosecuted for filing a false police report and for switching the tags on the vehicles. He needs to go meet with an attorney and start planning how he is going to handle the situation.
