Legal Question in Criminal Law in Alabama
Theft of Intelluctual Property
I am being accused of a theft of intellectual property by a previous employer. He is claiming that I ''hacked'' into their server and deleted some data in excess of $2500. I set up the backup system there and it would be near impossible to lose data. It is backed up 4 different ways. So they have to of fabricated any evidence that they have. What do I need to do?

Re: Theft of Intelluctual Property
You need to go see an attorney immediately to start building your defense to this allegation. This will be more complex than an ordinary theft case, so you need to get an experienced attorney on board to start putting your defense together.
Your post does not say whether you are being charged criminally, or being sued in civil court - or both. However, there are a number of defenses you can raise to this charge, and you need to start building your case now. Do not wait until they have assembled their case and have come after you; get to work on protecting yourself now.
