Theft of property means that you are charged with the taking of property that you either did not own or did not have permission to take. I can't tell you what happens if convicted. Sentences are based on many things, including the nature and severity of the crime charged, your criminal history, if any, and many other items. You need to hire an attorney to defend you. If you can't afford an attorney, you need to petition the court for an appointed attorney.
