time sentenced for plea deal
Public defender inform client of a different sentence that the court records have, how to get this corrected?

The court record is what counts. At the time of the sentence the Judge should have informed the defendant of his sentence and asked him if that was his understanding of the agreement. This is usually on a recording device. Unless there is some circumstance that would have prevented the defendant from understanding what he agreed to before the Judge, he is out of luck. Otherwise, a Rule 32 postconviction and sentence is the proper means of appeal. You may contact my office and I will be happy to discuss it with you further.
