How credible is videotape in criminal cases if those being videoed are unaware this is being done. Are there laws protecting a persons privacy related to videotape?

videotapes are admissible in a criminal case. credibility is determined by what is on the video. privacy may be an issue, depending on where the video was taken and by whom, but most videos taken by police are in public and therefore privacy is not an issue.
