Legal Question in Criminal Law in Alabama
Youthful Offender/Job Application
My brother was sentenced to rehab and three years probation for a felony. He has finished rehab and is looking for a job. Does he have to tell future employers about his criminal past if he was sentenced as a youthful offender but has not completed his probation? If he does, can you tell me what youthful offender status does help with? Thanks in advance!

Re: Youthful Offender/Job Application
His record is sealed and not available unless a federal agency does a background check. He does not have to state a conviction because he was not convicted.
