Re: dui
Since the case has been filed in Alabama the statue limitations has been met and the fact that you did not receive notices of hearing etc. will not make the case go away. Therefore, I would suggest you e-mail me your phone number and a good time to call you to discuss this further. It's likely that a warrant for your arrest was issued in Alabama which could be accessed in Florida if the police looked at your drivers license. If this were to happen they could extradite you the court in Alabama where the case is pending.

Court dates that are "cancelled" in Alabama are generally "reset" for a later date. Sounds like you didn't keep your court date.
As long as you received your ticket, the DUI is still "current" or "open" and you probably have an outstanding warrant for "failure to appear". It will be prosecuted and you will be subject to arrest until you have resolved it.
If you already plead guilty and did not complete the DUI course, crime victim compensation payment, court costs, etc. you will have a warrant out for Failure to appear and complete the sentence.
If you have an outstanding warrant because you failed to appear, you might end up in jail and have to sit there until the "trial date" if you wait until you are pulled over by a police officer in Alabama rather than take care of it by being proactive.
