Legal Question in Elder Law in Alabama

91 year old mother living in my home

She is completely incapacitated, needs care 24/7. I work, but my husband takes care of her while I am working. Can I pay him for caregiving from her monthly check, without medicaid penalty when she enters a nursing home, which will be soon.

There is more to this than a yes or no. You need to book an hour with a competent elder law attorney. Consult www.Naela.org and do an attorney search using your zip code. If I were you I wouldn't base a financial decision on some offhand remark made by a stranger online.
