Guardianship
I live in AL and my mother and sisters in Indiana. My sisters have started a guardianship proceeding in order to warehouse my 75yro mom who is in early ALZ. I want and mom wants to come live with me. Can Mom have legal papers drawnup appointing me guardian without going thru the nasty and demeaning court proceedings?

Re: Guardianship
If your Mom is still an IN resident, your question would depend upon IN law. However, here in AL, if your Mom still possesses sufficient capacity to execute documents, she could avoid it all through a revocable living trust and associated documents, but her condition would be the variable.
Good luck,
