Nursing Home bill
Do I have to pay for a nursing home
bill I did not sign to pay for my mother? I only sign as the sponser.
My mother has a house with a large mortage on it.

Normally no you don't have to pay. Federal law forbids nursing homes from requiring your individual responsibility but that doesn't seem to stop them from trying to get you to pay. Of course, the devil is in the details, so don't base your decisions on this non-binding opinion. Bring your contract in to visit with a lawyer and get a real answer.
