If a person is accused anonymously, over the internet, of abusing an old person or their child, the police investigates and finds no basis for the accusation and the case is closed. What happens if the parents are accused again, by the same internet source, is there any legal action that can be taken against the fradulent claims. How do I protect myself and children against this type of harassment?

perhaps a suit for slander or libel against the publisher or an injunction by a court prohibiting the person from publishing such material against you.
