Adopting the child of my Russian fiance

I am engaged to a Russian woman

who has a young child. The father of

the child has given his permission for

the child to come to America and

even signed a form ( notarized ) that

he gives his permission for me to

adopt his daughter. Is there anything

else we need to do before she leaves

Russia in order for me to adopt her

little girl?

It is not absolutely mandatory, but the adoption will go more smoothly if you can get the father's consent to the adoption in the form required by statute.
