Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

Attending Court Without A Lawyer?

I am wondering how bad it will look against me if I attend court without a lawyer? I am going to be going to court on the 25th since my husband has decided to decline the papers he and I had put in for divorce and child custody. He has attained a lawyer, however, I am unable to do so and legal aid has no lawyers available to take my case. Are there any papers in which I need to get done myself and take with me on that date in order to ask the judge to give me immediate custody of my two children that are biologically his? I currently live out of state although I was living in AL when I filed for divorce. Thank you for your time and assistance.

Papers do not have to be legaleze to work, just style it as the case is filed for the court, case number and names and then put Petition for Custody Pendente Lite, then under it in your own words state you want custody and why you should have custody during the proceedings. Be sure to file it in the court and give the other side or attorney a copy. Keep a copy for yourself.
