If my ex-husband signs his rights away to our son to put him in a boy's can I get custody?

Got to tell you I did not understand your question. First of all, a person can not just sign their rights away unless there is an adoption. Your ex-husband can agree to sign custody over to you or another family member - but you always have a right to go back and petition for custody.
