Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

My child has a deadbeat dad. He does not work therefore he says I can't make him pay child support. He also says that I have to give him visitation rights to his child no matter if he pays support or not. Is this true?

No as to whether you can make him pay. The Courts can either put him in jail or he will find a way to pay. Go to your local DHR and get them to file. He will be charged 12% per year interest and you can get any income tax refunds from State or Federal.

Yes he is correct about visitation, you can not use failure to pay child support as a basis to deny visitation.
