Child can stay alone

Is there a minimum age in Alabama for a 12 year old female child to be able to stay home alone overnight while the parent works if there is adequate proof that the child is responsible enough? The parent wouldn't leave for work until after the child is asleep and would return before the child awakes in the morning.
