Re: child support

It is not a percentage but based on a schedule of income and number of children. Income is based on both spouses income and then adding in any insurance which is paid. Then a percentage of the income, that is what the payer share of the total income is, is determined from the final amount which includes the child support, day care if any and insurance if any. If the payer provides for the insurance or day care in full, that amount is deducted from the overall child support amount giving credit for that which is paid.
