childs right to choose
what age in alabama can a child choose which parent they can live with?

The child never has the right to choose with parent to live with until the child is an adult. When child is over the age of 14 a judge will typically pay more attention to the child's wishes than when it is a younger child. However, the judge can still disregard the child's wishes and order the child to live with whichever parent the judge considers to be the most appropriate provider.
