Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

my childs father has no contact with her nor does his family. she is 8 yrs old and he has only seen her 3 times. the last time he saw her she was 2. i have always given him the opportunity to see his child but he has no interest in doing so. how do i go about terminating his rights as her father?

first of all the State of Alabama does not like to terminate a parents rights unless there is going to another father to assume the role. In other words, have you married and is your husband desiring to adopt the child. Otherwise, if he does not exercise visitation then there is no real reason to terminate parental rights. Does he pay child support?
