Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

Divorce

My husband of 4 yrs wants a divorce due to my recent disability. when he returned from Iraq I took care of him, paid bills that where overdue while he was gone and did what I thought was the right thing to do. We were seperated for 6 months due to his abuse and I came back. We did go to marriage counseling and I thought it would help in some way, he uses ptsd as an excuse to act out . Do I have any rights? or am I just sol again? When we 1st got married I gave away townhouse full of furniture, when I returned I gave away 2 bed apt full of furniture. I have adpoted my granddaughter, which in the beginning he agreed and then changed his mind during her stay with us. I do need to maintain insurance, is that possible? Thanks for your help

Re: Divorce

Your husband can file for divorce. You will have rights in the process. The system is in place to equitably distribute assets, etc. You also could potentially agree to an amicable resolution by incorporating an agreement between you as part of the divorce decree. If I can assist please contact me.
